Sir Elton John is a singer, composer, pianist and all round British national treasure who has been blessing the world with his talents for decades.

As part of his Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour, Sir Elton will be making his second ever appearance at Mt Duneed Estate, following a huge concert at the venue in December 2015.

Set to be a night you’ll never forget for all die-hard fans and fresh supporters alike, the concert should mark a date in any music-lover’s diary.

Sing along to Christmas hymns being performed by some of our region’s most talented artists, as well as other notable national performers.

Hosted by Denis Walter, Carols by the Bay will leave you feeling festive with the spirit of Christmas. What better way to spend an evening with the family than sat on the lawn watching the sun set over the bay, while enjoying the free concert.

A fireworks display will be held at the conclusion of the event, at approximately 9:15pm.

Where: The lawns of Steampacket Gardens

Geelong Waterfront Makers and Growers Market is held on the lawns of Steampacket Gardens, on the first Sunday of each month.

The market offers local produce, tasty gourmet treats, beautiful art and handicrafts from regional makers and growers in a stunning setting.

There is also local live music and tasty hot food on offer.

The market is coordinated by the Geelong Central Rotary Club and proudly sponsored by Central Geelong Marketing.

Proceeds from The Geelong Waterfront Makers and Growers Market assist the Geelong Central Rotary Club in supporting a number of community projects, local, interstate and overseas.

Where: Deakin Waterfront Carpark

The Annual Geelong Toy Run is set to raise funds and collects toys, gift vouchers and non-perishable food for local charities and services for the 27th year.

The ride leaves Deakin Waterfront Carpark at 9am, travelling down Brougham Street and out onto the Portarlington Road. Continuing on through Drysdale, Portarlington, Indented Heads and St Leonards.

The ride will be finishing at Princess Park, Queenscliff, where there will be entertainment, food and auctions. It’s a spectacular sight to see, with 1,500 or so bikes all joining forces to help Geelong Charities.

All types of bikes are welcome, entry per bike is $10.

Dogs are welcome but must be on a lead and cleaned up after. The event will be held at Transvaal Square (opposite the yacht club) in Geelong.
